What is a self certified mortgage?

If you are self employed, work overseas, work as an unsalaried director or get paid through bonus and commission then you may not be able to supply payslips or details to prove your income. Self certified remortgages allow you to declare what your current or projected income is without documents such as bank statements. All you have to do is sign a declaration agreeing that you can afford the loan repayments.
